Carnaroli Risotto Rice 12x1kg
This round, medium grain rice is probably Italy's finest. It is cultivated on the plain around Novara and Vercelli regions of Northern Italy, using traditional methods without the use of any fertilizer or preservative. All the steps in the culture of the rice are done by hand, which makes this rice less white and bright. Carnaroli rice keeps its shape better than other forms of rice during the slow cooking required for making risotto due to higher quantities of amylose present within. It is often described as being a "superfino rice" or as "the king of rices". Ideal for the more delicate recipes.
Vialone Nano Semi Integrale 12x1kg
A partly milled rice whose grains (semi-refined) are capable of absorbing twice their own weight in liquid condiment. For this reason, Vialone Nano is ideal for preparing incredibly creamy risottos, to which vegetables, mushrooms and/or meats can be added. Cooking time is typically 15-18 minutes, but overcooking is rarely a problem for this "forgiving" rice. An extremely tasty, slightly more nutty flavoured rice.
